I’m really glad to see the return of Riesling Weeks in June for its third running. Every year, we have more participating outlets and partners, demonstrating that the campaign is successful and well-received.

This year, Riesling Weeks will be even bigger with the 66th German Wine Queen, Janina Huhn, hosting a kick-off tasting on 1st June for the trade and consumers. Save the date!

The focus this year will be Riesling and food pairing. Rather than only talking about what style of Riesling goes with which food, why don’t we actually try them and make our own judgements? After all, we should put all that theory into practice! Check out the list of restaurants to see which one will offer you that pairing that makes you tick, or get a bottle from one of the Riesling Weeks' retailers or wine clubs to match with your own cooking. 

And to make Riesling Weeks more exciting, there will be not one but two photo contests. The first is RIESLING MOMENT where the criterion is that your photos should reflect the characteristics of Riesling— cool, versatile and about sharing. The second is YOUR FAVOURITE RIESLING where you need to share with us why you like a particular Riesling. There are two sets of fabulous prizes including an Aristo watch and a Vintec wine fridge, plus many more waiting for you. So Be Inspired and Be Creative!

Last but not least, Wines of Germany, the organiser of Riesling Weeks, has updated its logo (see above) to impart a stronger emotional appeal to consumers by emphasising the distinctive features and cultures within Germany's 13 wine regions. The brightly coloured, 13-grape cluster was designed to represent each of Germany's unique winegrowing regions. The arrangement of the coloured grapes is based on their geographic locations.

Your Favourite Riesling 

Take a photo of a German Riesling that you purchase in June and tell us why you like it. You’ll have a chance to win a Vintec Classic series 18-bottle wine fridge valued at HK$4,980, plus German wine and cash coupons!
